I AM Adam L. Johnson, MD, also known as @Dr.Pink_MD—a breast surgical oncologist, educator, storyteller, and founder of The Pink Kingdom, LLC. To learn more about my story and how my mother inspired my calling, visit The Heart of the Kingdom.

When I was in high school, my mom arranged my very first doctor shadowing experience. One day after shadowing, I came home and said, “I want to be a surgeon.” She smiled and said, “Then you can perform surgery on me.” I replied, “By the time I’m a surgeon, you won’t need surgery." In a way, we were both right. My mom passed away in 2011 after a long battle with complications from her cancer treatment, and today, I’m a Breast Surgical Oncologist — a Breast Cancer Surgeon.

I grew up in a small white house with big dreams—a symbol that reminds me how humble beginnings can hold divine purpose. I didn’t grow up with privilege, but I did grow up with vision. Every setback, every “no,” every moment of failure became a stepping stone. My mom and dad passed away when I was 20 and 30 years old, respectively—two losses that forever shaped my understanding of love, healing, and purpose. My life has been a journey of turning pain into purpose and loss into legacy.

Beyond the operating room, I’m a mentor, writer, Reiki practitioner, yogi, martial artist, and musician who believes in the integration of mind, body, and spirit.

The Pink Kingdom is my passion project—a return to spirit and heart, where humanity reigns with empathy and authenticity.
